Man’s Daring Vol. 4 No. 4 – March 1963 – Vivian Borg, Louise Reyneau, Dory Morrow – Vintage Men’s Adventure Magazine

Original Man’s Daring Vol. 4 No. 4, dated March 1963, published bi-monthly by Canadar Publishing Co., Inc. of Sparta, Illinois and New York. Original cover price 35¢.

This is a terrific example of the classic early-1960s illustrated men’s adventure magazine, with a wild painted cover combining pulp action, glamour and sensational headlines. Cover stories include “How to Be a Playboy on $20 a Week,” “The Nympho Fuehrer of Hitler Island,” “Exposed: Love Gyms for Unloved Women,” and “Aphrodisiac Orgy of the Ilya Males.”

The contents identify several credited glamour models, including Vivian Borg, Louise Reyneau and Dory Morrow, along with the photo feature Daring’s Darlings.

Stories and features include How to Be a Playboy on $20 a Week by Jack Hunter, Love Gyms for Unloved Women by Judge Richard D. Lambert, The Female Fuehrer of Hitler Island by Capt. Phillip Spencer, The Aphrodisiac Orgy of the Ilya Males by Charles Kowzer, Straggler’s Blood by James M. Cartwright, The Monster of Melbourne by John Doster, and The Torrid Revenge of the “Kiss-and-Tell” Romeos by B. Holloway.

The masthead credits Robert C. Sproul as publisher, Bernard Baily as editor and Charles Foster in production.

A great piece of 1960s pulp and men’s adventure publishing, with an especially strong painted cover and plenty of crossover appeal for collectors of vintage illustration, pin-up, exploitation and men's adventure magazines.

Condition: Nice vintage condition for its age with expected handling and surface wear from an original 1963 publication. The cover remains exceptionally bright and colorful with light edge and corner wear. Interior pages show normal age toning but remain clean and very presentable.
