ADAM Vol. 9 No. 9 – September 1965 – Gigike Zaheb Cover – Mamie Van Doren, Vicky Rein, Jane Mason

Original ADAM, Vol. 9 No. 9, September 1965, published by Knight Publishing Corporation of Los Angeles. Original cover price 50¢. The magazine runs 66 pages and combines vintage glamour pictorials, fiction, humor and period cultural features.

The striking front cover features Gigike Zaheb, photographed by Keith Bernard. That identification is printed in the magazine itself and is also independently documented by a specialist vintage-magazine dealer.

This is a particularly loaded issue. Jane Mason appears in the opening Swinging Jane Mason pictorial; Vicky Rein stars in the Adam's Eve pictorial; Susie James and Kathy Vers also appear, and the magazine includes a three-page look at the Japanese film Gate of Flesh.

There's also a full-page Mamie Van Doren feature connected to her discussion of legalized abortion, science-fiction writer Mack Reynolds writing about sex in Russia, and John Faulkner's “Treasure Hunt.”

Other contents include fiction by Boris O'Hara, Robert Edmond Alter and Raymond Friday Locke, plus Ask Althea with Althea Currier.

A fantastic mid-1960s issue with excellent crossover appeal for collectors of Gigike Zaheb, Mamie Van Doren, 1960s glamour, exploitation cinema and vintage men's magazines.

Condition: Nice vintage condition for an original 1965 publication with expected handling and surface wear. The colorful Gigike Zaheb cover remains bright and presents very well, and the interior is nicely preserved overall. Please review the photos for condition and details.
