ADAM Vol. 15 No. 12 – January 1972 – Jan Pennington Cover – Alice Cooper at the Ambassador – Vintage Rock & Glamour Magazine

Original ADAM, Vol. 15 No. 12, January 1972, published by Knight Publishing Corporation of Los Angeles. Original cover price $1.00. The cover model is Jan Pennington, photographed by Michael Le Roy, as identified on the magazine's contents page.

The standout feature here is “Alice Cooper at the Ambassador” by Chris Brown, an extensive period piece covering Alice Cooper and the original band at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles during their rise to fame. The article describes the band's theatrical stage presentation and the wild party surrounding the event. An Alice Cooper archival source independently preserves this exact January 1972 Adam article.

The issue also contains fiction by some notable writers: “Muscle Beach” by Joe Gores, “The Last Hero Town” by A. Fredric Franklyn, and “Letter to Linda” by Douglas Moench, who would later become particularly well known for his comic-book writing.

Additional features include Special Report: Sexual Fantasy, Minus One, Movie Close-Up: Runaway Runaway, Polly's Diary and Club Adam. Pictorials feature Emelina, Eve, Vicki and Judy, with photography credited to Don Sanders, Russell Western, RBK, Ron Vogel and Avital.

The front cover prominently advertises the Alice Cooper story as “Hollywood's Wild Party for Rock Freak, Alice Cooper,” making this a particularly cool crossover collectible between vintage glamour publishing and early-1970s rock history.

Condition: Nice vintage condition for an original 1972 publication with expected handling and surface wear. The Jan Pennington cover remains colorful and presents very well. Please review the photos for condition and details
