HIGH HEEL Magazine Vol. 1 No. 7 – October 1937 – Peter Driben Cover – Vintage Pin-Up Glamour
Original October 1937 issue of HIGH HEEL Magazine, Vol. 1 No. 7, published by Ultem Publications of New York.
This is a beautiful piece of pre-war American pin-up and glamour publishing, with a fantastic illustrated cover signed by legendary pin-up artist Peter Driben. Driben would become one of the best-known American pin-up illustrators of the 1940s and 1950s, and his artwork is a major part of the appeal of these early HIGH HEEL issues. Ultem's magazines are documented as featuring work by Driben and other notable illustrators of the period.
The October 1937 issue combines fiction, humor, glamour photography and stocking/leg pictorials in classic late-Depression-era newsstand style.

A terrific 89-year-old survivor and an especially appealing piece for collectors of Peter Driben artwork, early pin-up illustration, vintage glamour photography and pre-war newsstand magazines.
Vintage pre-owned condition with considerable age-related wear visible, including cover discoloration/soiling, creasing, edge and spine wear and an old circular stamp on the front cover. Despite the wear, the Driben cover remains complete, colorful and extremely striking. Please examine all photos carefully for exact condition.
